Human Character in Advertising

I’ve already writtentoomuch on the value of humanizing brands (especially in recession). Here are a couple large food companies trying to recall their human roots – with strangely similar creative executions:



Any thoughts? They remind me a bit of my silly Rembrandt mock-up.
